morality and other phases of human life

Morality and Other Phases of Human Life

Ethics and Education

-Education develops the whole man
-Education is life
-Ethics is life

Ethics and Education

-Education develops the whole man
-Education is life
-Ethics is life

Ethics and Politics

-Man owes allegiance to the state
-They are inseparable in man’s present existence
Religion and Ethics

-Both of these are based on the same postulates:
a. the existence of the creator
b. freedom of the will in man
c. immorality
-Both have the same end—the attainment of man’s supreme purpose
-Both prescribe the same means for attaining the goal of man: right living

IMPORTANCE OF ETHICS

1. Ethics means right and good moral being, it lies in the development of the moral qualities which lift him from far above brute creation.

2.Education is the harmonious development of whole man, of all man’s faculties, the moral, the intellectual, the physical powers in man but the primary aim of education is the moral development of will.

“ Hindi porke kaya mong gawin ang isang bagay ay dapat mo itong gawin”
Doraemon

This quotation is from the famous Japanese cartoon character Doramon. It just simply tells us that we can’t do anything we want because we are bounded by moral standards. If we would do things against what is required we might encounter trouble. Morality is an important part of human life. We can’t set aside this in our day to day activities because it plays a vital role in every action we do. It is indeed very important in our life.

In as much as it is very important in human life, as future educator we will play a vital role in developing the holistic aspects of our learners. One of our major concern in the future is the formation of moral values to our students. I believe that teachers are considered agent of change and very influential in developing learners moral being. This is one of the many important roles of a teacher. As I see it, this is one of the reasons why they are considered heroes.

Morality is related to law but they are not identical. The Bible says “ Anyone who looks at a woman ( or man) lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matthew 5:28. In this case, you will never be legally liable unless you committed not so good act in actual. Morality and Law are related to each other in a sense that they serve as basis for our acts. They both govern us. More so, on my personal assessment, most of the legal laws were made in accordance with what is moral/ethical.

The topic is can’t be separated from religion. Because ethical/ moral standards are based from the Divine Law, which is being studied in religion.

There are laws that are somehow against the Moral/ Divine Law. Death Penalty is still being practice in other countries. This is against the Divine Law. As I see it and base on my assessment, sometimes, laws are being made depending on the needs/ call of the society. To end this I could conclude that generally, morality governs human life.

Everyone has his dream of happiness---what gives pleasure, what one pleases, what counts for completion, satisfaction, fulfillment and contentment, these and our rationality set us apart from the lower animals. We keep on living because our cravings are not suffice and our dynamic needs oftentimes result to superfluity---that we eager for something more, we want more than what we need and in the most desparate times of our lives, we grab what is not ours.

Furthermore, our dreams sometimes go beyond the limitations of truth down to the extent of impossibility. Yet, because we are motivated by great possibilities, we become oblivion about "selfishness," we forgot to give chances, open our minds and consider others.

Man is deeply inlove with life itself and he is wholistically attached to it and even its grandeurs makes thinking about life, "heaven." With this, we become bitter and that what ETHICS is all about---"Considering others with the bound of morality."

Yes, we can have our dreams by constant working, we can build towers of them through our sweat, but let's not set aside others. We're not alone waiting for our dreams, for in the reality, our dream is a dream of all too.

life is a many spendored thing because it is a unity of many aspects. Since the moral and rational are the distiguishing caracteristics of man it follows that morality is the basic element of human life and cannot be separated from other phases of human activities.

Good upright living is the only way by which we can attain our supreme gaol and purpose in life-- HAPPINESS.There is a necessary connection in doing good and enjoying good, this is to signify the absolute infinite of good---the boundless good which is attained only by good upright living. We must be good, live rightiously and constantly practice virtue in short we must posses in this life a good moral character. A good life is the only sure ticket to the boundlees good. a good life leads us to the attainment of life's supreme goal and purpose.

It is good good to be intelligent, it is good to be a wealthy person, it is good to enjoy all the material things in this world, it is good to have a good health and strength but first and above all it is good to have a GOOD MORAL CHARACTER......

Happiness…Who would say that he/she don’t want to be happy? Is there anyone who would refuse to if he’d be given the chance to be happy?
Everyone strive for a certain goal. Everyone would face the reality in this world, experience the bitterness and sweetness of life because we know at the end of the road we will have the opportunity to live a happy life. But in some manner, our intention to be happy outshine the moral standard that we u8sed to follow. Greed and selfishness destroy our moral values. Man’s struggle for a common good had been ruined by his own cause- his selfishness.
It is not bad to dream to be happy long as we hadn’t step on one’s own happiness and rights. We have to bear in mind that we would be completely happy not with extreme power and material things but with the harmony of our relationship with the people around us.

Ethics and Religion go hand in hand or they are inseparable but why does other people commits wrong deeds? I believe that Filipinos are religious but there are times that they commit deeds that are against the will of God. In my own opinion people tends to do bad things because they want to survive and they want to continue fighting for their lives.

The goal of Education is to develop the whole man; physically, emotionally, socially, morally and spiritually. Ethics helps education to achieve this goal. Without ethics people would not be able to know if what they did is good or bad.

Happiness is one of the self-fulfillment of a person and being happy is not hard to achieve. You just have to be contented to what you have and to what you are.

“Happiness is man’s full purpose”. It is a statement which covers most of the goals and purpose of man such as to help your family of to finish your studies wherein all of this end up ofcourse with happiness but life itself has a broad scope wherein we have to consider many aspects to acquire our full purpose.

Ethics and Religion wherein we know that this two aren’t be inseparable but usually they differ due to the culture and tradition. For example in religion we believe to the existence of our Creator just like in Ethics wherein the acts of man are always associated with the will of God but we worship in several ways which is based with our culture.

Ethics is a science of human acts with reference to right and wrong.

These definitions of ethics give us a guide who simply means that ethics is the philosophy of human life .We cannot achieve happiness in life unless we do not follow the law of morality. This law of morality states that “Do good and avoid evil”. Since we are guided by this principle we are now trying to do good things that make us satisfy and fulfill our daily living and we are trying to avoid evil act. Just in our own simple way we follow the law of morality like for instance, we don’t kill man because we know that it violates the law of morality and we can get punishment on doing that act.

We could say that life is colorful in every way that we experience things that is governed by ethics.

In any field, ethics can be seen but one place that can not be influenced by ethics that is politics,as we all know that politics is concerned with the government, a place where some unethical pesonas can be seen. That do things for their personal gain.

What we want in lfe or we simply want in this earth is to live happy. It is beautiful to live in this world but sometimes the beautiful things that happen to us is not always or it is not for everyone, like those street children;at their young age they are the one who work for themselves to live in this world. It is so sad see them roaming around the streets and yet some people who are very rich don't help them.

Greediness or Selfishness takes place on this earth, because we want to be happy in life sometimes we yet to forget what we are doing because we get our happiness even if it is wrong. Morality tooks place for this, sometimes we are being bad for certain things that we want to get/achieved and it is immoral act. Sometimes we tend to forget that we are rational being, we do things which is uncertain just like animals.

Ethics helps us to develop of being holistic invidual, it teaches us what are the norms or standards to be folowed. There are things that are limited or there are boundaries, don't extent or else the act that you've done consider as immoral act.

Sometimes the law of human is not the same to the sayings of our God, just like the government will say the punishment of the suspect on certain crime is lethal injection, it violates God wants which is "Thou shall not kill".

We all know that being happy is what we all want to achieved but we need to consider others and don't set aside them, don't deprived or stepped others let them to be happy too.

"Happiness is the ultimate goal of Humanity." and for all, every actions that we do are being associated with reasons. But what if we achieved felicity in life but violated many laws including human rights, are you will be truly happy? or will just pretending to be happy? These are just some of the questions that arises in my mind. Morality plays a vital role for man that serves as the standards of right living. For me, the true meaning of happiness is by following the laws of God and respect whatever laws imposed on us cause it is for the benefit of mankind.

As a human being we should be happy about the good things that we had done. Life is a splendor thing as they’ve said; it is really amazing indeed, why? It’s because there are times that we are in happy moments sometimes we are in the bad moments…
Morality is the foundation of every human society. Ethics is an art where man must go and what he ought to do in order to live well. Every man is an artist, creating something of beauty out of his life.
